Hi! My name is Skylar, and I’m a native English speaker with a passion for teaching children. I am a U.S.-licensed elementary school teacher with a TEFL certification, and I love making learning fun, interactive, and age-appropriate.

I have several years of experience teaching and tutoring children of all ages, both in classroom settings and privately, and I enjoy supporting a wide range of abilities and learning styles. I specialize in early English exposure, literacy foundations, and school readiness skills, including reading, phonics, vocabulary building, conversation practice, and gentle homework support.

I focus on creating lessons that are playful, engaging, and tailored to each child’s interests, so that learning feels natural and enjoyable. I also have experience supporting children with developmental, physical, and behavioral needs, and I am comfortable working with small groups or siblings at the same time.

I love helping children build confidence in English, explore their creativity, and develop skills that set them up for success in school and beyond. I look forward to connecting and helping your child enjoy learning English!

I have extensive experience working with special needs, including physical, cognitive, and behavioral disabilities, ages 4-35 years old. For children or adults with disabilities, the tutoring sessions I offer will look different from the sessions previously mentioned. After a quick and easy evaluation, I will gear lesson plans towards your child's specific needs, abilities, and goals.
