Hello :)
My name is Milan Moya. I am 25 years old and I am from the United States. I recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelors in Political Science and I plan on attending law school in the near future.

Shortly after graduating, I moved to Madrid to begin teaching as an English language assistant in primary schools. I spent my first year of teaching English to fifth, fourth and sixth graders at a primary school in Arganda Del Rey, Madrid. My responsibilities included preparing learning activities for my students in these three subjects: Natural Science, Social Science and English language. When I wasn't assisting the instructor in the classroom, I was taking the students out of the classroom one by one or in groups to practice speaking with them. I also prepared dictations for them once or twice a week to help improve their listening and writing skills.

I am currently in my second year of teaching as an English language assistant, and I am now working with 1st-3rd graders at a primary school in Arganda Del Rey. I adore my job and the children that I work with every day. I have a passion for creating fun, imaginative, and innovative lessons and activities that are intriguing and engaging for my students. Every day we work on improving their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills by playing games, watching videos, participating in role plays or presentations and working on various assignments. Examples of games we play include pictionary, matching, charades, and hangman. I take the kids out of the class in groups and one by one to practice speaking about what they have learned in class, and giving them speaking exams. If were not outside of the classroom, then I am with them in class assisting them with different projects, crafts, and assignments. I am constantly striving to improve my method of teaching and incorporate new ways of teaching my students every day.

I tutor for families after school from Monday-Thursday. The children I tutor are between three to fifteen years old. My responsibilities include helping them with their conversational skills, reading to them, playing with them, assisting them with their homework, and helping them prepare for their exams.

In my experience I have learned to be very patient, caring, and understanding of the children I work with. Every child has their own unique abilities and personalities, and I make sure to pay close attention to these details to ensure I am assisting them in the best way possible.
