I moved to Madrid in September 2021 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States to complete a TEFL course through TtMadrid. Since I completed my course, I have been working with the Shakespeare Language Institute. I have begun a program in Academic Management in ESL. In this position, I am responsible for both adult in person and online classes for the Ministry of Defense, Guardia Civil, and company classes. In each class, I am responsible for creating and implementing class materials and any evaluations as requested by the client. Many students are preparing for English exams or meeting with English speaking colleagues, allowing me to incorporate exam preparation and daily conversational language. Additionally, I have been working with an after school program; in this position, I am responsible for two 1st grade classes. With this program, I follow a structured curriculum as provided by the school and prepare quarterly evaluations of each student.
