I am Inma, and I am Spanish, teacher of Spanish and journalist. With a background in Communications paired with a good knowledge of the Spanish language, traditions and culture —a skill that has allowed me to contribute for various magazines both as an editor and a journalist—, last year I decided to expand my horizons and pursue a career as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I have taught at the International House in Barcelona to students ranging from levels A1 to B1, and I’ve also tutored people who by one reason or the other couldn’t sign up in an academy.
I believe that my role as a contributor for some respectable Spanish cultural outlets with a focus on gastronomy and local culture could make me a good fit not only for the regular Spanish classes but for the specialized lessons.
I must mention one more point that is, I think, especially relevant: for more than seven years I’ve worked as a volunteer with mentally disabled children, and I’ve also worked for organizations that helped vulnerable women and children at risk of social exclusion.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you!
